Meg's and Melinda's Responsibilities

We will always be prepared for class with proper materials, lessons planned and a clean space to work. Our goal is to guide your child in their artistic development and help them discover their unique style and passion. We will do this through guided lessons and demonstrations. We will treat each child with respect and will differentiate our teaching to their level of understanding and abilities. We will regularly inspect the premises to ensure a safe environment for participants.

Student's responsibilities

Art Adventures for Kids maintains a positive, safe and fun environment for all participants. Please read the following expectations carefully with your child and after reading and discussing them, put a check mark in the “student responsibilities” section above.

I agree to participate in art safely, respectfully and responsibly by:

Staying in my personal space (and respecting the space of others);

Using only the supplies given to me by the art instructors and only as instructed;

Turning water faucets on part way to keep water in the sink and off of the floor;

Cleaning and storing wet brushes and other supplies as demonstrated by the art teachers;

Staying in areas designated for student use unless specifically given permission;
Using walking feet at all times and refraining from climbing on chairs or tables;
Leaving weapons of any kind, even toy weapons, at home;

At no time, damaging, destroying the art of others;

Following directions given by the art teacher.

I and my child understand that if these expectations are not met, consequences will include a warning and time-out (first occurrence), loss of project time for the day (second occurrence), and removal from the class (third occurrence). Art Adventures for Kids will issue a refund prorated for remaining classes (less a $25 processing fee).

Indemnification clause

Art Adventures for Kids and their art instructors, are not responsible for any injury, loss, theft or damage to the student or their property, whether such injury, theft, or damage occurred prior, during, or after the class. Parent or guardian agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Art Adventures for Kids and their instructors for and against any claims for such injury, loss, theft, or expense of any nature sustained by the student in the conduct of any class, or in the execution of any duties or obligations pertaining to this agreement. If a lawsuit is filed against Art Adventures for Kids or their art instructors, for any injury or damage in breach of this contract, the undersigned will pay all attorney fees and costs incurred by Art Adventures for Kids and their instructors in defending such action.
